Frequently asked questions.

Am I due a tax refund from HMRC?

Millions of employees may not be claiming work related expenses that their employer is not reimbursing or paying for them. This can be mileage, travel, food and drink, accommodation, uniforms and professional training and courses.

For example, you drive your personal car to multiple sites or offices throughout the week. Your employer reimburses you 25p a mile or none at all. The HMRC approved rate is 45p up to 10,000 miles, which should be reducing your tax!

What information do I need to claim a refund?

It is quite simple. Once you get in contact with us though email, phone, or filling out the refund questionnaire, we will need:

  • Name and address

  • National Insurance number

  • Date of birth

  • p60 or payslips from your Employer for the last 4 tax years

  • Permission from you for us to act as your agent with HMRC

How much does it cost me?

The fee is a flat rate 24% of the refund. This is cheaper than 99% of other firms.

How many years can i go back and claim for?

4 years! Do not wait around to potentially miss out on a year’s expenses.

How long does it take for the claim to be processed and go into my bank account?

The time it takes to receive your tax refund can vary based on several factors, including how you submit your claim and the complexity of your situation. With standard claims, it takes 7-12 weeks to process.
